The smallest things make the biggest differences. Whether you are sporting a tie for business or pleasure, the result is always the same – it pulls the whole look together. Some call it tartan, others call it plaid, but regardless of what you call it, the pattern that originated thousands of years ago, has become a classic in menswear. The color combinations are edgier and the tie widths have shrunken. Match one with an white oxford shirt and a suit to the office, or team it with a leather jacket and jeans like I did for a weekend hangout. Either way, you’ll be a little more rad in plaid.

Mustard jeans (or corduroys like the Club Monaco ones I’m wearing) are much easier to wear than you think. You can wear them with a cream sweater and boat shoes like I did here, or pair them with a white button-up shirt and a mid-grey sport coat. The combinations are endless, so a pair of mustard jeans or corduroys are an essential item in every man’s closet — they’ll work as well in the Fall as they will in the Spring. And how rad is that Micha Design necklace?
i will stop and stare. any day.
